AB de Villiers' Record-Breaking 116 off 51 Balls in WC: Highest Individual Score - Best11.in

A century off 41 balls at the age of 41. AB de Villiers( ABD) has stormed into the record books with the loftiest score in WC history. He's delivering a scintillating performance. In this  event, he has now claimed the record for the loftiest individual score in WC history. He was the Player of the Match against India, and now, against England, he has  formerly again been named Player of the Match.

This century came off 51 balls, scoring 116 runs with 15 fours and seven sixes. The most remarkable aspect is that this century was  drafted solely through boundaries. It was an explosive performance, and as part of it, South Africa demolished England in the WC, defeating them by a massive  periphery. England managed only 152 runs in their first innings, with Phil Mustard top- scoring with 39 runs off 33 balls. Other  benefactions included Bopara( 7), Moeen( 10), Samit Patel( 24), Eoin Morgan( 20), Tim Bresnan( 19), Bell( 7), and Plunkett( 13).

In the chase, Hashim Amla and ABD put on a astral show to chase down 153 runs. ABD alone scored an unbeaten 116 runs off 51 balls, with 15 fours and seven sixes, at a strike rate of 227.45. Hashim Amla played a supporting  part, facing 25 balls and scoring 29 runs with four fours before getting out. The chase was wrapped up in 12.2 overs. ABD is still performing at his stretch stylish.
